Zonia Tsang is a graduate of Hong Kong University of Education (Major in piano performing) and holds an MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
While she started learning music because her mother told her to, she developed a strong passion for this art form as she finds music is such a beautiful way to connect people and strengthen a community. Hence, music has always been there for her throughout her life. Having taught piano since 2006, she specializes in creating exercises to fit students’ specific needs and interests.
Apart from her piano teaching journey, she is also a composer, music director and theatre writer. Her works have been performed all around the world and she was one of 5 composers selected for New Dramatists Composer-Librettist studio in New York in 2018. Previous theatre work: One of Us (Hong Kong),The Broken Ballad of Monte Cristo (New York), The Girl inside the Mirror (New York), The Blue-and-White Porcelain (Hong Kong) etc.
