Stephanie Saran has been involved in music since the age of three starting with dance lessons then later studying piano and voice. Growing up in Pittsburgh, she trained and performed in shows with several of the city’s top arts institutions including The Larry Cervi School of Performing Arts and the Civic Light Opera. In high school, Stephanie attended the Carnegie Mellon Preparatory School of Music with a focus in classical voice and musical theatre. Stephanie studied vocal performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she trained with internationally renowned instructors. She has gone on to perform as a solo artist and in numerous roles in musical theatre throughout the country. As a songwriter, Stephanie has created original works for herself, various other artists and independent films. Along with performing for many years, Stephanie has spent over a decade teaching and mentoring students in the performing arts who have enjoyed her unique ability to teach various genres including Opera, Musical Theatre, Pop/Rock, Folk and Jazz. With each student, she creates a customized approach to developing confident well rounded artists through individualized training based on personal and professional goals. A strong emphasis is placed on proper vocal technique and breath support to ensure long term vocal health. Her students also receive training in various skills including audition technique, diction, sight reading and songwriting. Stephanie has most recently trained and performed in New York City. She is excited to share her love and passion for teaching with students of all levels in the Austin area.
