Allyssa Kemp is an avid performer and dedicated teacher in the Austin community, singing with highly acclaimed groups including Austin Opera, as well as teaching students of all ages. Prior to moving to Texas, she has been seen on stages throughout Florida and Michigan and was teaching privately in the Ann Arbor area.
Allyssa shares an equal passion for both performing and music education, becoming proficient in vocal, choral, and piano pedagogy. During her undergraduate studies, Allyssa was an active member of her American Choral Directors Association student chapter, where she served as Treasurer and Vice President. She was also Music Director of the Alpha and Eta Pi Chapters of Sigma Alpha Iota.
Allyssa believes that lessons should be educational and fun. She strives to teach her students not just skills to be better musicians, but to inspire others with their love of music.
Allyssa holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice with a focus in Music Education from Stetson University and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Michigan.
