Piano Instructor
Josh Meadows
Josh is a native Detroiter, a pianist, organist, producer, composer and music teacher. He’s been performing and teaching music professionally in Detroit, Seattle, Austin and around the U.S. for the last 15 years. Classically trained on the piano as a child, he went on to attend The University of Michigan’s Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation Program and is grateful to have been mentored over the years by Geri Allen, Rodney Whittaker, Marcus Belgrave, Bob Hurst, Ellen Rowe, and Rob Pipho. He’s performed with Christian McBride, John Clayton, Tim Ries, James Carter,The Detroit Symphony Orchestra and many others. Josh has a passion and curiosity for many styles and genres of music, and an especial love for improvisation. He has always found teaching to be especially rewarding and fun and aims to help his students stay inspired, excited and informed. His focus is on his students’ unique goals, designing lessons that unlock their talents and potential while playing the music they love.
