Alex Ballentine

My name is Alex Ballentine and I founded Eastside Music School in 2010. I’ve been playing music locally in Austin for almost 20 years. I performed my first gig at the Continental Club when I was a 13 year old guitarist and have been picking ever since. Having earned my degree in music from the University of Texas at Austin in 2006, I’ve been teaching lessons for about a decade. I’ve worked as a music teacher in the classroom, as a private instructor, and a camp director. I’m also an active composer, writing for film and TV at Eastside Music. I’m passionate about music: playing, teaching, and writing.
