Drum Teacher

Facu Quintana

Facundo “Facu” Quintana has been playing drums since the age of 8, bringing over three decades of experience to his teaching. A jazz drummer at heart, his playing spans funk, fusion, rock, gospel chops, bossa nova, and Afro-Cuban rhythms. He has performed with jazz trios and quartets, funk/R&B/soul bands, and fusion groups at festivals, and tours with his own trio alongside renowned Argentine bassist Javier Malosetti. Originally from Argentina, Facu is now based in Austin, Texas.

Facu teaches students of all ages and levels. He believes in keeping things simple and musical from day one: his lessons start with understanding how the drum set works and developing independence across all four limbs, so that every student walks out of their first lesson already playing a groove. He teaches in both English and Spanish.
He’s excited to join the Eastside community and share his passion for drumming with students of all ages!
