Nikkita has been teaching professionally for over 14 years, but she has been a lover of music her entire life. She attended Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, where she studied Music Education with a focus on voice and elementary education. Although voice is her primary instrument, she understands the importance of a broad musical perspective and now teaches several instruments, including piano and guitar. As a strong advocate for music theory, Nikkita emphasizes a progressive yet flexible approach. She utilizes both contemporary and traditional music and methods to tailor lessons to each student’s individual needs. Her personal mission is to help people (re)connect with their relationship to music, and she is dedicated to filling every student’s toolbox with the necessary skills to learn and compose any piece of music with accuracy and confidence.
